Art-based Therapy for educators program

Updated: Nov 17, 2023

Educators often face high levels of stress due to the nature of our job and Art-based therapy can be the best therapeutic modality for us to decompress, connect, relax, and have fun as a group.

This psycho-educational program is exclusively designed for educators, taking into account of various difficulties and stressful situations we might encounter at work, in order to normalise some of them and externalise suppressed feelings.

Art-based Therapy, in general, improves individual’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being through the process of art-making. It involves various art forms that we are familiar with, such as drawing, painting, sculpting, collage, and other forms of creative expression. It does not require any artistic skills or talent to participate in Art Therapy.

As we always say, it is about the process, not the product!

How does it work?

All art materials will be provided. There will be drawing, clay, painting and beaded jewelry making. The session will last from 2 to 2.5 hours depending on the group progress. The group size can be from 5 to 15 educators in a session. Wear your most comfortable outfit and have fun! (Food and drinks are not included in the program but highly recommend centres to provide it for a fun event! )

When can I book a session?

It is more suitable to book a group art therapy session as a team building event on a Saturday or Sunday, due to educators’ long work hours during the week, but sessions are available to book on every Monday or Tuesday evenings too.

Where will the session be held?

It will be at your own service and only available in Sydney at the moment.
